Well, here we are folks. We are finally opening up our blog. We just want to say welcome and thank you for supporting us through all the years.

Now that we've gone through that, we just want to let you know what's happening with us now. As some of you know, we're in the middle of the Trinidad & Tobago Film Festival. They've actually decided to show the Brazilian semi-historical film on capoeira, Besouro. They already showed it once last week (Wednesday 21st Sept, 2011), and they're showing it again this Friday (30th Sept, 2011). What's more special about this is that we'll be performing before the show (and, of course, taking it in once we're done with our performance). Hope to see a large turnout.

Later this year we plan on bringing one of our Mestres to do some training. This is going to become a habit (for those of you interested in joining). Once a year, we'll bring someone to train with us for a few weeks in an effort to raise the standard of capoeira in Trinidad & Tobago. This will consist of a series of intense workshops. If you were thinking about joining, now is the perfect time to do so!

I know some of you may be wondering how the SoE and curfew are affecting training. The SoE and curfew are not currently affecting our classes, but they were when the curfew was from 9:00pm. I hear talk that they want to change it back to 9:00 pm now so, we'll have to keep our ears open. If it happens, you have nothing to worry about. Classes WILL still go on, but the times will be different.
