As time progresses, students are given the opportunity to advance in rank through the Batizado e Troca de Corda (Baptism & Change of Cord) ceremony. If one is successful, one receives a corda to represent the change in rank. The cordas and ranks in Grupo Axé Capoeira are as follows.Children's Ranks
